MOOCs - Learning Beyond the Curriculum
Dave Holloway (Academic and Learning Services), Laura Giles (Academic and Learning Services), Pamela Hafekost (Careers Service)
What is this display about?
At the end of the first year of the highly successful MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) Project, come and talk to us about the courses we have helped to develop and run, the outcomes of our first courses, our plans for the months to come and how we could help you to create innovative and creative learning and teaching materials..

You will also have the chance to chat to successful course developers from the Careers Service who will talk about how they have enhanced the experience of face to face students at the University through their courses “How to Succeed at: Writing Applications” and “How to Succeed at: Interviews”.

How will colleagues benefit?
Find out how MOOCs could help you to:

  • Enhance the experience of existing students
  • Find new learners
  • Think about pedagogic innovation in digital technology
  • Recruit students to campus courses
  • Reach new learner groups (WP, lifelong learners, non-traditional students)
  • Showcase teaching excellence
  • Disseminate research
